Jeffrey Glasser has been actively involved in photography for more than forty years. His work has been in over sixty exhibitions (one person, juried and group). he has won numerous awards in juried exhibitions including the Grand Prize in the Masters Division of Foto3 sponsored by View Camera Magazine awarded by Hewlett Packard Co. Glasser’s photographs are in private, corporate and public collections. Among them are Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places and the Bank of Kuwait and several hotels and private business offices. They have been exhibited at the Miami International Airport, the Miami-Dade county Library, the Friends of Photography, Photo Group, Temple Beth Am, Books and Books,the Miami Center for Photography, the Wirtz Gallery, Photo Place Gallery of Vermont, the Sierra Club, Villa Vizcaya, the Gallery at Pinecrest Gardens and the Coral gables Museum. He has been published in Black and White Magazine, featured in the Fine Art section of the Ilford website gallery and twice in the Hasselblad Around the World Section of their site. Several years ago he printed a limited edition of platinum/palladium/gold hand-coated prints for an internationally acclaimed photographer. Glasser works with film in medium and large format cameras and recently with a pinhole camera in the 4x5 format. He prints in a traditional “wet” darkroom on silver gelatin paper and hand-coated platinum/ palladium/gold papers well as digitally which pigment inks on cotton rag paper. He has also tried his hand at hand-made books. His subject matter varies but heavily leans toward landscape and still-life.
